My Personal Recommendations

During our trip to the Dolomites, we had the chance to explore some amazing places and activities that I can truly recommend::

  • Accommodation: Accommodation: We traveled with our campervan and stayed at several beautiful campsites. Many of them also offer rooms, apartments, or chalets if you prefer a more comfortable stay.

  • Car Rental: We drove our own camper from Europe, but if you’re flying in, I highly recommend booking with Discovercars for flexible and reliable rental options.

  • Favorite Mountain Hut: Geisler Alm – a cozy hut with incredible views and delicious alpine food, perfect for a lunch stop during your hike.

  • Favorite Easy Hike: Adolf Munkel Weg – a scenic trail at the foot of the Odle peaks. Read the detailed hiking guide here.  The Alpe di Siusi (Seiser Alm) is Europe’s largest alpine pasture, which also offers wonderful, family-friendly hikes (details coming soon).

  • Favorite Challenging Hike: Lago di Sorapis – a demanding but rewarding trail leading to one of the most stunning turquoise alpine lakes. Full trail description here.
  • Most Exciting Cable Car Ride: Sassolungo Forcella – this ride takes you right into the heart of the Dolomites, with spectacular views all around.

More Experiences to Consider
