My Personal Recommendations

During our trip to the Lofoten Islands, we had the chance to experience some unforgettable places and activities that I can wholeheartedly recommend:

  • Accommodation: We stayed at Skårungen – Hotel, Cabins and Camping, which offered beautiful views and a cozy atmosphere. It was the perfect base for exploring the islands.

  • Car Rental: We drove our own camper from Europe, but if you’re flying in, I highly recommend booking with Discovercars for flexible and reliable rental options.

  • Midnight Sun: One of our most magical moments was watching the midnight sun at Uttakleiv Beach – an experience you’ll never forget.

  • Boat Excursion: We joined a Sea Eagle Safari and Trollfjord cruise with Lofoten Explorer. It was thrilling to see the majestic eagles so close. If you wish, you can also choose Brim’s hybrid-electric boat, which was specially built for this purpose.

  • Dining: Our favorite place to eat was Anita’s Seafood, where the fish burgers are a must-try!

    Visit Anita’s website

  • Hiking: Of all the hikes, our favorite was Mannen – a trail with panoramic views that perfectly captures the beauty of Lofoten. Detailed tour description coming soon on the website.

  • Most Interesting Cultural Experience: A visit to the Lofotr Viking Museum is a must if you’d like to dive into the fascinating history of the Vikings in the Arctic.
